This was the Second Annual Conference of Anglian Water’s Keep It Clear (KIC) Partnership Working Programme.
On Tuesday 5th June, three of us took part in an away-day for volunteers at Hemingford Abbots near to the Great Ouse river and Cambridge. Very good it was too. We enjoyed the many sessions and got to know more staff of Anglian Water and representatives of community groups and the guest presenters.
In particular we learned how effectively community groups in selected areas assist in promoting changes of household behaviour to reduce blockages in the waste water pipes. These groups shared their experiences by presenting case studies of local events and initiatives.
A Social Media session gave advice based on Anglian Water’s experience of a wide range of communication channels.
A guest performer, Richard Fallon, got us all to explore personal styles of behaviour.
We even tried out a new board game by Anglian Water’s Education team and a ‘hen night’ exercise on ‘unmentionables’!
A big Thank You to the teams at Anglian Water who arranged and took part in this memorable event. Twitter
